![]() This is the kind of show where the ladies say "whoopsy daisy!" then roll their eyes and I guess we're all supposed to laugh because them rolling their eyes is just so freaking funny. Maybe they should have been given a show instead of these people. Are moms supposed to be lame and unfunny? I know a lot of moms who are very funny. Just because this show is apparently, based on the ads and word of mouth, supposed to be for "moms" doesn't mean it has to be lame and unfunny. The writing is awful with bad sketches where you can tell every joke that's going to happen before it actually does. To see them, and forget them completely afterwards. It should be far better to draw any serious attention on it, but. Not only because most of the sketches have zero men acting, but also because of the selected topics. There is always present a, sometimes subtle, other times more prominent sense of lesbianism. Most "jokes" are revolved around women 40+ like the 4 protagonists who also are the creators of the show. a masked killer, holding a big knife and he accelerates his treadmill too, to catch up I guess, with the girl. The reason? In a treadmill, behind her is running. To tell you the truth I only liked a quirky clip where a girl is running calmly on a treadmill in a gym and she looks behind her and she screams and she presses the buttons to go faster. For my taste always, the 90% of the sketches are mildly funny (or not at all) and only 10% are somehow funny. in my opinion the "Baroness Von Sketch Show" (say again?!) generally fails in that department. So by definition you can't expect quality writing or serious production. Have a lovely day :) Oh, and ps: WE'RE AT THE COTTAGE!!! Also, less intelligent people are prone to entirely misconstruing jokes written and performed by more intelligent people.Anyway, check out this awesome show, especially if you're an American, because great Canadian content like this too often gets trampled by American media. This show may struggle because (no matter how many times you say, "It's 2016") men are still frightened of funny women. ![]() There is absolutely no standard sketch length here, and I love that. They take time building up to a quality punchline when it's necessary, but when it's not, they keep things short. I will say that I love how widely the sketches vary in length. I could go on about how hit-or-hit the sketches are and how ludicrously talented and smart the writers, comedians and actors are (it's all true), but you should just check out the show. It's fresh, it's hilarious, and contains exactly none of the "3rd-Reich-Feminism" that a previous viewer claims it does, proving for the zillionth time that people make up whatever ignorant garbage they want and post shamelessly. I am a (male) American currently living in Canada, and chanced across this show one night. Okay.writing my first IMDb review ever so that people have something else to read besides one single batch of absurdity written by a person who has been ludicrously swept up in their own privilege.
